Give Where You Live newsletter: My First Print Magazine

During my time at Give Where You Live Geelong, I had the pleasure of planning, writing and editing the seasonal Give Where You Live newsletter.

As someone who has always been attracted to magazines – the features and interesting articles tucked about in a glossy read – I was really influenced to revamp this (more corporate) newsletter into something with lots of readability and interesting appeal.

It was a privilege to interview and write stories about Give Where You Live community partners like the Sanctuary, Kids Plus and the Big Brother, Big Sister program in Geelong. I interviewed by phone, email and met subjects at all different locations and drove the Give Where You Live car for onsite interviews.

I felt completely in my element: like a magazine journalist and absolutely adored chatting with such interesting people in our community. I loved it!
